Theater Review - Jekyll and Hyde (NY)

Frank Wildhorn must find a different profession!  “Jekyll & Hyde” was so bad we left at intermission. True, my husband had a bad cold and cough, which was reason enough to leave, but the caterwauling going on, on stage, was enough to send someone fleeing. Now, I did not know the name of the actor playing Henry Jekyll, the doctor turned Edward Hyde, mad scientist/criminal until I read the Playbill upon returning home. Much to my shock, I found it was Constantine Maroulis, former fifth runner up on TV’s “American Idol.” I left at the intermission of the first show he starred in on Broadway, “Rock of Ages.”  At least I am consistent.  Revival at the Marriott Hotel/Marquis Theatre.
